Privacy Policy

ROCEN respects your privacy and aims to be clear about the personal information we collect, why we collect it and how we use it.

This policy currently covers information submitted through the ROCEN website, including applications to take part in ROCEN's pre-launch testing programme.

Information we collect

If you apply to become a ROCEN tester, we currently collect:

  • Your name
  • Your business name
  • Your email address
  • Your trade or business type
  • Whether you use an Android phone
  • An indication of how many active jobs or customers you manage
  • Your reason for wanting to test ROCEN

Why we collect this information

We use tester application information to assess applications, select suitable businesses for ROCEN testing, contact applicants about the testing programme and manage the pre-launch testing process.

Submitting a tester application does not automatically create a ROCEN user account or business account.

Our lawful basis

Where we process information submitted as part of a tester application, we do so because it is necessary for our legitimate interests in evaluating potential testers, operating the ROCEN testing programme and improving the service before wider launch.

We consider these uses proportionate to the limited business contact and application information requested.

How your information is stored

Tester applications are submitted securely to ROCEN's backend systems and stored electronically using cloud infrastructure used to operate ROCEN.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure.

How long we keep tester applications

If an application does not result in participation in the ROCEN testing programme, we will normally delete the application within six months after the relevant testing programme ends.

If you become a ROCEN tester or customer, relevant information may be retained for longer where necessary to provide the service, maintain appropriate business records or meet legal obligations.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may use trusted service providers to host, store or process information on our behalf where this is necessary to operate ROCEN. These providers only receive information needed to provide their services and are expected to handle it appropriately and securely.

We may also disclose information where required by law or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.

International data transfers

Some technology and cloud service providers used by ROCEN may process or store information outside the United Kingdom. Where personal information is transferred internationally, appropriate safeguards will be used where required by applicable data protection law.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you may have rights in relation to your personal information, including the right to ask us for access to your information, to correct inaccurate information, to request deletion in certain circumstances, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to raise concerns about how your information is handled.

To make a privacy request, contact [email protected].

You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office if you are unhappy with how your personal information has been handled.

Cookies and analytics

ROCEN does not currently use website analytics or non-essential tracking cookies on this website.

If this changes, this policy and any required cookie information or consent controls will be updated as appropriate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as ROCEN develops, including when new website features or services are introduced.

The latest version will be published on this page.
